At Monday’s prepractice press conference, Husker volleyball coach John Cook talked about the “reinvention” of this team and their goal to be “clean” in all that they do. On Tuesday, Nebraska started to walk that walk as fall practice kicked off at the Devaney Center.

With a pair of new assistant coaches helping to run the show, and a unique schedule that adapted for the last week of summer school, Nebraska officially kicked off its season with three practice sessions on Tuesday. The practices featured cones as targets, assistant coaches blasting balls from platforms at the pins and even featured a few deep tracks from Pearl Jam on day one for the Big Red.
