An opening weekend trip to Florida didn’t go as planned for the Nebraska volleyball team, but a return to the Devaney Center proved to be exactly what the Huskers needed.

Nebraska did not drop a set, had two sets without an error in a statistically ridiculous sweep of Oral Roberts and used a 5-0 run to escape the first set against Saint Mary’s and finish the weekend without dropping a game. Briana Holman earned tournament MVP honors, and was joined on the team by Kenzie Maloney and Mikaela Foecke, to power Nebraska to 3-2 on the year.
