A weather delay stopped the game for 2 hours and 32 minutes on Sunday, but it couldn’t stop the Huskers from grinding out a result against No. 7 Penn State. Nebraska went into the break down 1-0, but needed just seven minutes back on the field to get even.
The goal came after senior Haley Hanson ripped a header past the Penn State keeper. And despite that turning out to be the only goal of the game, the Huskers were still able to hold on and earn a draw in a game that ended 4 hours and 46 minutes after it kicked off.
