Senior | Setter | 5-11

After redshirting her second season at Nebraska, Hunter has played a vital role as NU’s setter and in 2015 was named to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament Tem for her 42 assists, four digs and three blocks against Texas.

Hunter helped Nebraska out dig Penn State 90-76 on Thursday night by leading both teams with 23 digs over five sets. Most impressive on the night were Hunter’s 47 assists, just eight fewer than her season high 55 recorded against Purdue last month.

“I think the Colorado coach (Jesse Mahoney) said it best. He said Nebraska’s really hard to defend because everybody’s averaging over two kills a game, so how do you defend that? So I think that is a really big compliment. Kelly is a master at running a balanced attack. She has her whole career.”

Hunter was benched with an injury at the beginning of the year, and did not play against Florida this season.
