James Nakashima hasn’t been to the NCAA championships.
In his career, Nakashima had racked up just six official wins as a Husker coming into this year, and hasn’t quite garnered national spotlight during his time competing for Nebraska.
Yet there he stood at the center of the mat in front of the NU Coliseum crowd, the majority of whom were on their feet, as Nakashima’s hand was raised in victory after a triple-overtime thriller in Nebraska’a dual with Purdue this past weekend.
